Hours of operation

For prayer:

Monday to Friday: 7 AM

Saturday: 8 AM

Sunday: 7.30 AM


For visitors:

Monday to Friday : 8 AM to 4:30 PM

Saturday: 8 AM to 4 PM

Sunday : 12:30 PM to 4 PM


Admission fees

18 years and over: $10

7 to 17 years old: $5

6 years and under: free entry


The Fabrique de la Paroisse Notre-Dame de Montréal – the parish’s building council – is wholly responsible for the preservation and restoration of Notre-Dame basilica. The Fabrique is also in charge of security, with at least one authorized person on the church premises at all times to answer all visitor questions and deal with various requests. Your contribution, through the entrance fee, allows us to preserve our rich heritage.

How to visit us

By Metro:

Take the Orange line to Place-d’Armes Station. Exit on Saint-Urbain Street and walk uphill toward Place D’Armes.

By Bus:

Take southbound Saint-Laurent bus No. 55. Get off at the Notre-Dame Street stop east of the Basilica.
