The popularity of the voice-and-guitar repertoire is nothing new! This musical journey invites you to rediscover the treasures of the European repertoire in their most intimate form: voice and guitar.
From the French grace of courtly airs to the English melancholy of lute songs, from the sunny rhythms of Spain to the sweetness of Italian ariettas and German Romanticism, soprano Marie Magistry and her collaborator Marc Deschênes weave an intimate and expressive dialogue. A timeless moment that will immerse you in the intimacy of the salons of another era.
The opera singers of Notre-Dame (Léa Weilbrenner, Pascale Brigitte Boilard, Claudine Ledoux, Cristine Cimon Fortier, Joé Lampron-Dandonneau, Michiel Schrey, Pierre-Etienne Bergeron, and Thomas Jodoin-Fontaine) perform the greatest hits of the legendary group a cappella.
Classical Music Meets the Movies offers a captivating journey through some of the greatest masterpieces of the classical repertoire and the films that made them unforgettable. Performed by the Trio De Rosa (piano, violin, and cello), with special guest Justine McIntyre as narrator, works by Beethoven, Mozart, Wagner, and Strauss come to life alongside excerpts from iconic films by acclaimed directors such as Stanley Kubrick, Martin Scorsese, Francis Ford Coppola, and Steven Spielberg.
This immersive experience brings music and cinema into dialogue, revealing the emotional depth and expressive power of these timeless works. A fascinating voyage where image and sound intertwine to create a truly memorable artistic experience.
