The sacrament of the anointing of the sick is:
• A strength to continue living my faith, to nourish my capacity to love to the end
• A strength to tame the anguish of death and live my hope in Christ's resurrection

Words and gestures
The sacrament of the anointing of the sick is experienced through a series of words, gestures, silences and prayers.

Using the oil of the sick, the priest anoints the forehead and then the hands of the sick person, saying: “N., through this holy anointing, may the Lord in his great goodness comfort you with the grace of the Holy Spirit. Thus, having freed you from all sins, may He save you and raise you up.”

“Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders [presbyters] of the Church and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will save the sick man, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.” (letter of Saint James 5: 14-15)

Fundraising Concert - Saturday, April 11th

Under the direction of jazz guitarist Jonathan Ethier, the Jonathan Ethier Trio elegantly revisits great standards, swing, and Latin rhythms, while adding a modern touch to more recent pieces. The trio features Marcin Garbulinski on double bass and Éric Thibodeau on drums, forming a rhythm section that is both flexible and powerful. Together, they create a vibrant atmosphere where virtuosity and the joy of playing come together.
