Annual Mass in Memory of the Deceased
Nearly one million deceased individuals are buried within the grounds of the exceptional Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery, a partner institution of the Fabrique de la paroisse Notre-Dame-des-Neiges. The Fabrique invites you all to a solemn mass in memory of these deceased individuals, which will be held on Sunday, September 7, in the nave of Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal.
For 171 years, we have welcomed thousands of fellow citizens to the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery with dignity and compassion. The institution is proud to continue its mission. The celebration on September 7 will highlight this and remember loved ones.
Starting at 10:30 a.m., musical pieces will be performed by our organist. After Mass, you are welcome to visit the Basilica and the gift shop.
Please gather at the main entrance of the Basilica, located at 110 Notre-Dame Street West, in the heart of Old Montreal. The nearest metro station is Place-d'Armes.
We hope to see many of you there. No reservations are necessary.

Notre-Dame's Music O'Clock
Under the direction of Valérie Dallaire, an impressionist concert, piano and soprano works by Debussy will bring warmth to the fall season. All proceeds go to the Restoration Program of the Notre-Dame Basilica Foundation of Montreal.

The Basilica began major restoration work in 2020, which will take over fifteen years to complete. The estimated completion date is around 2040. We have already spent more than 10 million dollars, and your contributions are needed to continue our efforts.
The Basilica's heritage tells a story, the collective story of our ancestors who made the dream of one of the most important neo-Gothic architectural works a reality.
Your donation will enable us to carry out the maintenance and restoration work necessary to ensure the longevity of Notre-Dame so that future generations can also visit and admire it, and soak up its timeless beauty.
For donations of $25 or more, Zeffy will issue an official donation receipt for income tax purposes, which is sent by email. Please make sure to check your junk mail.

The Restoration Project
Major restoration work on the Basilica began in 2020 and is currently underway. Elements needing restoration include stonework, flashings, bell towers and their sound structures, and other architectural elements to preserve Notre-Dame's exterior façade and the integrity of the building.
