During summer, the grand organ of the basilica comes alive! Our titular organist Pierre Grandmaison leads the Montréal Grand Organ Festival. On this occasion, prestigious organists from all over the world are invited to perform great music. Allow yourself to be impressed by the impeccable acoustics of the basilica and the imposing sounds of the Casavant organ.

The Festival has become a summer Sunday evening staple for music lovers, thanks to its prestigious program.

The organ of Notre-Dame Basilica is a French symphonic organ built by Casavat Frères. It boasts 7 000 pipes.
